Spartacus - Serpents and the Wolf Gladiators

I've been working on several projects, hence why no real updates & then had my friend I do painting for ask if I had the expansion for Spartacus yet.

Once he discovered I did, he asked that I get the 2 figures painted for him. So here they are completed this morning

I particularly like the fella with the mattock.

I am currently working on the 4 figures from the latest Descent expansion for my friend as well.

Also I have been sorting out my Pirate figures to make sure I have enough for the crews. After sorting out crews with a Captain, Navigator & Marines it leaves the crew, which I luckily have a great many plastic ones from the Weapons & Warriors game to fill them out. Of course as things are around here, I am continually being drawn to start other projects for IHMN, WW2, Zombicide etc....must stay focussed. So I guess we shall see how this turns out.

  1. Great paint job. I have all six figures (4 from Spartacus and the 2 from the expansion) sitting on my work table. I just ned to finish a half dozen other projects before I get to them...

    1. Thanks Robert, yes even though I've painted these up for a consignment I will end up with a Deja-vu moment, finding I will need to paint them all again. I also agree about the multi-projects we find ourselves dealing with, its hard to stay focussed when something new & shiny arrives in the mail. Anyone who has seen my basement can attest to that.

  2. I like the guy with the Mattock as well. His stance is very powerful and with the spike backwards it has the look of a subtle, but brutal, surprise coming.

    Peace

    1. Hey Brent! Thanks for commenting here. They are now wrapped & in the box for the trip to Fallcon. I have 1 of the Descent figures done & the other 3 in various stages...not to fear they will be ready for Fallcon

  3. They look tremendous, always fancied having a go at some gladiators.

    1. Thanks Michael, if you have not had an opportunity to play the Spartacus game, I highly recommend it, as its quite interactive & then allows for gladatorial battles as well where you can gamble on the winners.
