In Her Majesty's Name, Scotland Yard Company

A very productive weekend has seen the completion of the Scotland Yard Company for IHMN.

So without further blather, here they are;

First up is 'The Consulting Detective' & the 'Good Doctor', guess copyright prevented going any further.

Next up are the Sergeant & one of the members of the Special Branch w/carbine. I admit that I was generally trying to follow the esteemed Kevin Dallimore's paint pallete which certainly does take away some of the guesswork of what would look best.

And here are the other 2 Special Branch w/carbine figures.

I must say I am quite happy with these Northstar Miniatures. Their poses are dynamic & they are well sculpted with wonderful details. I have got the Society of Thule Company based & will be starting on them next.

  1. Oh brilliant Terry, jolly well done Sir! I love all of these and like you will be trying to ape the great Dallimore's palette too. I managed to get the bobbies down and will eventually get the posted once photographed.

    1. Thanks Bob, it took quite a bit of time & I think patterning is something I need to contiue trying to develop further. I see my brush strokes on the back of his jacket were beginning to lose their control.

  3. Nicely done - especially like the facial brush work.

    1. Thanks Dannoc, however most of the credit must go to the Army Painter Strong Dip I brush on & then Matte overspray. Not sure, but I think something occurs when the 2 are used together, but I too am happy how it works!
