Saturday Game Day

Today Stephen hosted some of the guys to his condo's community hall for some gaming fun.

He ran a game of Chain of Command France 1940.

The scenario was a French Defence, the Germans having to break the force morale or push the French from the field.

It started well enough, our HMG in the building drawing pretty much all of the German's interest until it was routed (1 guy left fleeing). However a combination of bad luck for the French & good dice for the Germans, caused the French morale to collapse, though we still had lots of troops left & apart from 1 support tank being Immobilized, were still quite a capable force.

For the afternoon I set up Vengeance. My buddy Richard joined me.

This would be my second time playing this game.

Compared to the first time, it seemed someone easy...were we doing something wrong?

We discussed some things to try for next time just to see how much difference it makes. Of course the game is not about getting killed, its about seeking revenge & garnering the most victory points in doing so.

Richard won the day with 33Vp to my 29.

Thanks to all those who came out on this frigid March 2nd day. Maybe once the weather improves we will see more make the trip out to play.
