Frostgrave Campaign - The Road to Felstad

With a new year comes a new gaming campaign. I've launched a new Frostgrave Campaign at my place once a month & have 6 total players participating. For those who have followed my blog in the past, you will see that my 1st scenario is quite similar to what I launched in 2019 (yes its been that long!) Of course the scenario has been updated (I take notes after each game to see what improvements can be made should I run it again)

So for the warbands participating, we have no band names yet, but will use the players names.

Chen's gang

Craig's gang

Dan's gang

Kurt's gang

Rolland's gang

Terry's (My) gang

Also I will be generating the Comic's to showcase our mis-adventures. With 6 bands, this is making for a rather lengthy comic!

So what happened as we crossed the mountain pass & began our journey?

Grab a drink, have a seat & enjoy!

So there are some tweaks I will be doing as we progress. For one, I will need to determine what happens to the figures who are taken out of action...did they die? Lose an eye? That will make my game description better.

I will also need to clip images prior to the comic & also work on adding some of the smaller panels for close in shots. I do find that the standard 3 panels work well as most images are taken landscape anyway.

There are some omission's from the games as the figures are quite far apart & the images just don't work. That will be taken care of once we get to Felstad & sight lines are quite reduced.

So there you have it. Feel free to comment & provide some advice on ways to improve the story side (comic book) of the campaign.

Thanks for taking the time.

  1. Yay, more Frostgrave! Loved the presentation. A 6-player game is truly impressive.

Interesting you mentioned a border town... I've long thought that the boomtowns and settlements around Felstad would be an interesting setting for a campaign.

Looking forward to the next installment!

    1. Thanks Marc, I think my idea behind it was for a few reasons. 1) to use some of my non-city terrain mats & terrain. 2) The need of the bordertown to use for access to the black market for magic items & to sell ones not wanted. 3) It makes more sense then that once we get to Felstad, the gangs will create bases that will actually mean more for them. So I have put a distance of about 10 days travel between Felstad & where the Bordertown of Holm has been rebuilt at the base of the pass. Hope you continue to enjoy our mis-adventures
