Working through more Frostgrave creatures from the list, I finished 3 more Wild Dogs.
Again these are some of the old RAFM metal wolves in 25mm scale. I am guessing by their size, they are true 25mm, which in the world of 28mm makes them a little too small.
Thus they will be wild dogs.
I will likely try to track down some real wild dog miniatures (with the standard thin tails) to mix them up.
So just a short post for today. Thanks for stopping by.
I actually thing the 25mm stuff is better. I find 28mm wolves you can buy tend to be gigantic anyway. I managed to find some Leading Edge Bram Stoker Wolves in my bits box and they go perfect with my 28mm stuff.
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon, I will need to check out the leading edge ones. I prefer my wolves to be larger, & have quite a few of the GW ones I may use.
DeleteThese are terrifyingly good Terry, lovely work Sir.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael, I remember these coming in bag/blisters of about 5 or 6 figures, so I have a few more to be done.
DeleteNicely done. I agree that the scale actually works well here.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ross. You may have provided me an idea of using a figure for scale going forward.
DeleteNice color choices on them it really helps them look more dog than wolf.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian, the biggest issue is the bushy tails. I may need to tim a couple off just to have bob-tailed versions.
DeleteI like them. They look like feral mutts of mixed breed and nastiness.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dai, that was my hope & you have confirmed it.
DeleteThey are very good! Cheers, Karl
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI think they look excellent, and great use of one size range model to represent something else. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Pulp, trying to use up all those miniatures purchased all those years ago. Frostgrave is a wonderful system to use alternate figs for!
