We have had 2 fairly quick meet-ups to play our Necromunda campaign, but I am only now getting the photos up. So its a two-fer for today.
The game a couple weekends ago, I was playing Chris, which for this current Desolation Campaign is the most equal I can get. Chris was defending his base with a loot container. He starts with a few sentries.
Once the alarm sounds, the Malstrain 'terrors' begin to arrive & you guessed it. Right by my troops. Not only that, but its a Malstrain Genestealer. Nasty bit of work, as I have one within my gang, who is also in the photo.
And down goes my Dustrunner.
Rather than deal with the Malstrain, I took my own up the ladder heading towards the loot token....besides, why not drag the other one in my wake!
Then another Malstrain Spawn pops & you guessed it, another Malstrain Genestealer in my area. Appreciate my gang was only near 2 of the 6 spawn points. Down goes my Brood Scum.
With a bit of luck finally happening, I was able to Dodge a shotgun blast, guess having all those extra arms is handy when you need to swing out of the way.
Chris did win the scenario, as I was down to a single figure at the end & decided that it was time to go.
Today's scenario was Escape the Zone, its the last game in the first of the 3 zones in the Campaign & we were all in it together. The map would move at the end of each round & you really didn't want to be in the area that vanishes. As I only have the 2 Helmatite riders, the rest of my gang were deployed as Infiltrators
Elliot, in a great bout of derring-do managed to wreck his vehicle as 1 of the first actions of the game, it rolled twice, bursting into a flaming heap. The riders aboard were thrown ahead. Guess its time to walk lads!
One of Elliot's fellas, charged my Coalescence & took it out of action. Seems to be a common thread.
Some Malstrain Tyramites arrived & started to attack Elliot's gang.
We only managed to get 2 turns done in 4 hours & called it. Tallying up the remaining troops, Chris won with the most figures remaining.

Exciting looking game 👍 on such atmospheric terrain
ReplyDeleteElliot has amassed quite a collection of terrain for our Necromunda games.
DeleteGood looking gangs on a lovely table Terry. Still haven't played the current Nercromunda. Might have to find someone to show it to me cos I loved the original.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dai, Elliot owns all the terrain & we play at his place. I find the new Necromunda very overwhelming with the vast amount of books based on your faction, core book, niggly rules, etc so I usually just wait til they tell me what I need to roll. Even with the 3 others being knowledgeable, we still need to check the books.
DeleteWell that just sounds annoying and frankly (Knowing GW as well as we all do) flippin exspensive! Think I'll do like you have and let someone else tell me how to play and what to do. LOL
DeleteDai, its the only way I can deal with the massive amount of books. The books are nice & lots of cool fluff. Going to snag the One Page Rules Grimdark Skirmish rules soon. Also as I use my figures over many game systems, they won't go to waste!
