Wings of War at the EWG

Last night, George brought out his Wings of War miniatures to have a go for us.

We had 5 of us out, so the German side had to handle an aircraft between us to make it 3 planes for each side. 

Getting the mechanics down, it was time to get to it!

Initially we counted the damage card containing the pilot image as a kill. It only took me 1 shot to down the first British plane. (We discovered later that the image of the pilot meant they were wounded).

The Red Baron makes his appearance. He flies past another British plane looking for Snoopy.

That ends that!

The Red Baron is still being a problem for the allies.

No sooner had this German reinforcement arrive, that he was taken out.

Another long shot, insta-kill!

Finally the Baron is brought low.

There goes another one!

The Red Squire arrives, but he too meets a bad end.

So close, I had just 1 more jam card to clear, but got smoked with 3 damage cards from 2 aircraft.

As we were winding down, the last Allied plane plummets, however the Allies were victorious with 6 kills to 4.
