First up is a Rangifer & Frost Wraith
It's only after I was editing the photo I noticed I am not quite finished on the wraith, seems the rope belt that hold his robe together & thus likely keeps his form isn't done, so back to the table with him!
Also completed 5 more of the Mantic plastic ghouls. I sense we will be seeing lots of these swarming the table...
Scott hosted several of us on Saturday night for an opportunity for me to bring out Big Trouble in Little China. We had 5 players.
It didn't take long for the Big Trouble to rear its head. Below Eddie Lee is getting swarmed by a lot of minions.
OK so trying to go with the Directors Cut (seeing we had 5 players) wasn't a good idea. so we reset & started again.
One thing we found is that the Big Trouble Track fills up very fast. In fact you pretty much only have 7 turns before it reaches the Showdown. This makes it nigh impossible for players to get through more than 1 or 2 of their player quests. So this led to having only 1 completed quest, 5 uncompleted quests
(4 players & showdown) & a LOT of minions on Act 2
We discussed (Scott & I) that perhaps there is a scaling issue with more players. One of the things I've mentioned is perhaps reducing the Big Trouble values on the cards by 1. This will allow the players more opportunity to work on their quests etc. I will also try getting another game in with maybe 2 players, then 3 players to see how it scales.
As much as we got lambasted, I had a blast with the game. The Hell cards have proven to provide a lot of laughter at the table, as we saw one regarding a weak bladder & an effect anytime that player had to go to the washroom, as well as another requiring the player to quote an adventure movie prior to rolling his action dice, failure to do so costing him 9 health.
So today will be another day in the basement, as I have 2 more Rangifers, the Ghoul King, Lich Lord, Death Guards in progress. Thanks for stopping by.
