Due to where Halloween fell this year, Richard had to wait until the Tuesday after, to host his Muskets & Tomahawks game. He wanted to do a Halloween themed game, so how better than to just add....ZOMBIES!
The scenario pitted 2 forces - British & French heading to a ruined church where there was rumoured to be an ancient relic.
I played the British. My Rangers arrive on the foggy field.
As we neared the ruined church, some figures could be seen moving within the gravestones. One of the Ranger units opens fire, dropping a couple of the shambling figures.
The French forces also begin to unleash musket fire into the ruins as even more figures appear.
The British break into the ruins & although taking casualties, one of the ranger units secured the chest & began to move away. It was about this time that we discoved that any unit who had taken casualties, began to see the fallen rise up & start attacking the living.
"Hold men while we spirit away the relic!" The units that were trying to hold the line began suffering some morale issues.
The French commander entered the ruins & was swarmed by zombies!
He wasn't able to hold & fell back, with most of his troops having discharged muskets.
With the removal of the relic from the battlefield, the British won the day! Although with the added zombies from the fallen, it was perhaps them that truly won.
Thanks for running the game Richard!
