Today the guys were over for our next Stargrave Campaign scenario. This time around it was The Dragons Den. We had 4 crews heading towards the ruins of Exploration Base 3.
Believing its possible some of the bases computer systems may still be accessible, perhaps it was that info that brought your friend to this abandoned spot.
With the first turn underway, we had 2 ticks appear. As well the end of the turn brought a Porigota rushing in behind my crew.
Turn 2 saw the arrival of the Centisaur, as well as a Dedfurd appearing with the unlocking of a loot token.
My crew was busy dealing with the Porigota & a Tick. Trying to hit the ticks was quite troublesome for all, with their 16 Armour. Chen played his Weather Control side hustle cards causing Snow to fall in heavy flakes, slowing everyone by 1" move & limiting range to 12"
Craigs crew took the brunt of the monsters swarming him. The 5 crew figures at the bottom of the image were caught in the Centisaur Mucus Spray. Almost all of his crew were poisoned.
The game continued with the arrival of Tanglers, Primitives & more Ticks.
Dans crew was best able to actually hit the Ticks at range earning the 'Tickest' Honorary nickname.
The battle continues with the addition of a Mind Gripper & Gaunch.
Finally getting within range & took a shot at the Centisaur & managed to kill it, earning the xp for that. I also played the Bait & Switch Side Hustle, netting the Central Loot from Chens crew.
Everyone was able to get away with loot in hand. One of my Engineers was badly wounded in the battle & will be missing the next game. Not sure how the others fared with their own crews taken out of action.
Was a good game with tough to hit enemies, & lots of Toxic critters. Maybe a good idea to snag a medkit for next game, you know who I am referring too!
