Fistful of Lead/Arena of Blood Musketeers at EWG

We had 5 guys out for our 1st Club night of 2026. Bruce ran a Fistful of Lead/Arena of Blood conversion for Musketeers. Daniel was back in town visiting for the holidays. We also had Chen, Julian, Bruce (running the game) & myself.

We each had our own factions of 4 figures & everyone started mounted. This allowed for much more rapid movement, however once you dismounted, your horse was gone.

Julian had a force of the Kings men, while I was playing forces of the Cardinal. We quickly became 'stuck in' & engaged.

Combat uses a d6 system, where 1-3 No Damage, 4-5 Lt Damage (which may be blocked if you have the parry skill), & 6 Causes Heavy Damage. Not a good start for the Kingsman as I scored 2 heavy damage. Also to note, is that 2 light damage become a heavy damage.

Your health is defined by the number of skills you have. Once all are covered, your character is taken out. An overview of the table (below).

Leaving 2 of my troops dealing with the brawl on horseback, I sent my other 2 off to search the buildings.

Even though focused on our side of the table, there were more shenanigans occurring on the other.

With a gentleman's agreement, Julian & I were able to disengage from one another (thanks to the right card) & moved off in pursuit of objectives.

Getting my first Objective. When collected these were placed on the carrying figure & kept secret, as they could be lost.

Doubling down on one of the Musketeers (Daniel's faction).

Having locked the musketeer in melee, I was able to ride down the wench who was making off with an objective.

Meanwhile, Julian's Kings men were breaking into the church through the windows. I am sure that is a sin!

The game was 8 turns long. At the end, I had 3 members remaining & had scored 4VP worth of Objectives...winning me the game.

Thanks Bruce for bringing this out. This is a great club game as its fast-paced, easy to learn & just lots of fun!
