This past weekend I completed the Frostgrave Enchanter & Apprentice set from Northstar Miniatures.
These are nice chunky metal miniatures, with lots of details & character
As I did with my previous Elementalist & Apprentice, I attempted to duplicate the figures paint schemes from the packaging of the blister. Of course there are always a couple minor differences, especially when it comes to equipment not visible in a photograph.
It's off to the club tomorrow eve & with the temps here hitting -30C it will be a frigid trip.
Let's just hope the auto is up to it!
Great looking paint jobs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe!
DeleteNice brushwork.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dannoc. I fell I am quite far behind the eight ball, as these are from the original Frostgrave releases....I need more time just to paint!
DeleteLoving the red trim on the clothing. Stands out nicely. Really good work - far better than the studio efforts imo.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dai, taken right off the blister insert image! I figure why reinvent a good thing!
DeleteLoving the earthy tones for these down to earth practitioners
ReplyDeleteThanks Gobbo. Keeping it real 8D
DeleteEnchanter's fur look warm and fuzzy - perfectly fit to Frostgrave conditions :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Potsiat. Alas my city of Frostgrave doesn't exhibit a lot of snow...see some of my other Frostgrave posts. But hey! That doesn't mean it isn't chilly!
DeleteVery nice they both look great and very much like the pack pictures.
ReplyDeleteBang on Simon, I like using the same palette as the blister pack images when feasible, saves on wracking the brains to come up with good ones. Of course I still need to often work out the paint schemes on the parts I cannot see.
DeleteCracking work on both of those Terry. :)
ReplyDeleteReally like the colour palette you chose there. :)
HAHA chose indeed, I am not afraid to admit using another persons palette, makes choices that work so much easier.
