Moonstone!

About a year ago, I was chatting with Jason at Industrial Park Games while I was looking at an odd game system I saw on their shelves. It was called Moonstone & had some funky looking figures that reminded me of Terry Pratchett's Discworld.

Now I know that there are Discworld figures out there, but that is not what this post is about. Jason asked if I've played it & I responded no, this is the first time I've seen it. He stated that it was a good system, so I figured I would give it a try.

Purchasing the 2 starter boxes that were there (& of course being a completionist I bought some of the expansion packs as well) & the rulebook, they have been since been sitting with my plethora of other things. Enter Courtney from Figuratively Speaking Miniatures who when I asked was quite happy to take on the commission.

So there would be 16 models for her to paint for me. These are resin multi-part models, which seem somewhat fragile, but she did an amazing job on them! I never mentioned the bases so had to do those myself. So as we see the models, remember, the kudo's on the awesome paintjobs are all Courtney!

First up we have from left to right Beaky Bobby, Vicious Syd, Doug The Flatulant & Grub. I believe these are Goblins. Each character has a stat card with whatever special abilities they are also endowed with....I think we can figure out what Doug The Flatulants ability is!

Next up is he Human faction consisting of Eric the Squire, Baron Von Fancyhat, Flintlock & Friar Flavious. Those were the 2 groups from the original 2 player starter.

The second 2 player starter was called Life & Death Struggle

The undead faction consists of Serif, Negroli, Greymair (who has a piece of something hanging off him - sheesh) & Angerboda

For the Life faction (which had the Angry Jackalope added) consists of Jayda, Mr Toodles, Hoff & Jackalope. Speaking with Courtney it was decided to throw that one to her as she was painting the other one anyway.

So once again, thanks to Courtney for taking this on & getting me set up so that I can host a 4 player game (once I get through the rules)

Thanks for visiting.
