Zomtober Week 4

I spent today demoing Frostgrave for some folks during the Onslaught Tournament hosted by my friend Ward.

However as it's Zomtober, first up are this weeks Zombies.
Here is another Walker from the Zombicide game.

As well as 2 more Walkers from the Zombicide Black Plague.

As mentioned earlier, I was at the Onslaught Tournament convention. This event has several game system tournaments running throughout the weekend.

I set up a table to demo Frostgrave.

I was able to introduce the game to a couple guys who have bought the main rulebook, but had yet to play. I also had a fellow who had never heard of the game. All really enjoyed it.

Below are some images

2 Frost Toads appeared quite close to one of the players after a treasure was collected. In trying to save his Wizard he first set his hound upon them. A natural 20 & 3x the damage resulted in 36 hits of damage to the hound.

The funniest moment of the game is when a Wizard leapt a wounded thief down from a 3 story building. As the thief who was leapt had been bitten by a Frost Spider, he was suffering from venom. He was leapt before he picked up the treasure & died from the fall damage.

Looking forward tomorrow to the launch of the new season of Walking Dead. I will likely watch a couple of the last seasons episodes prior to get back into the groove.

    1. Thanks Simon, prepare to spend some funds on Frostgrave, I am quite sure your going to enjoy it! I enjoy the multi-player more than the 1-on-1.

  4. Those Zombicide figures do paint up really nicely, and your frostgrave table looks a treat too.

    Cheers Roger.

    1. Thanks Roger, they do indeed. A bit of mold lines on them that need some prep work & even then you will likely still find some after the fact.
Thanks for the compliment on the Frostgrave table.

    1. Thanks Pulp. Yes the Frostgrave game is cool (pun intended), though I have no plans to ever winterize the terrain. Though I will use some felt pieces for the ice on the canal scenario from Lich Lord.

  6. Terry those zombies look ghastly and I mean that in a really good way, superb painting. The bridges with the arches on your frostgrave table look very effective.

    1. Thanks Pat, Zomtober is a good way to get me back on track to not forgetting my Zombicide games that have lots of miniatures needing some brush time. The bridges are actually Aquarium pieces I've bought at Petsmart. Recently adding the 2nd & 3rd at a cost of about $18 each. The colours you see are how they come.

Glad Frostgrave is still getting people's attention - such a fun and simple game.
