Stargrave - The Broken Fence

This past Sunday, we played "The Broken Fence" scenario for our Stargrave Campaign.

Discussing the upcoming game at the club, Chen discovered a good candidate from Thingeverse to print & represent the fence surrounding the building. He did some prints & brought them for me. Those files also include a building as part of the set.

Chen's prints are the flesh coloured ones.

So I set about printing more of them & then did some snipping to create the holes needed in the scenario.

Based on the scenario, we would need 2 long & 1 short to attain the 16"

The set also includes a reinforced door, which of course would be needed to gain access to the compound.

And of course the cut fences painted!

I had enough time to get the basic set done with the 2 gaps. Reading through the scenario further, I see I will need to create some more 'gapped' pieces of the long portions to swap out as players can 'cut' the wire as an action.

Then it was onto the game. The table is set. To make it fair, all the crews started from the long ends of the table. Unfortunately this meant the low rollers to determine start, would get sandwiched between 2 other crews

The compound

We had a new player join us, & he was the lucky recipient of a Pirate Shock trooper/2 Pirate Trooper unwanted guests following his crew onto the table.

With the close proximity to one another, it doesn't take long for the smoke to pop

Followed by Walls of Force to channel & block

I also had some visiting pirates to deal with...

Scott & Chen managed to make it inside the compound, but noone made it inside the building for the primary objective.

So some things we are dabbling with in our group. We want to make the Pirates more of a problem. How we are tweaking them, is that they will longer just show up & stand there blasting the nearest opponent. Now they will actively move towards the nearest objective just like us...attempt to unlock the objectives & then begin to make their way off at the nearest exit point. This should cause the crews more concern as they are likely after the objectives they had hoped to gain.

Up next is the Starport Scenario! Time to paint shipping crates & containers!

Thanks for visiting!

    1. Yes, the Space Pirates are a problem everywhere you go....simpy put, they want it ALL! They also tend to arrive with those shock troopers in combat armour, which can be quite bothersome to remove.
