Chain of Command - Back to the BEF project

A New Year means opportunities to tidy up some projects that didn't manage to get done the year before & to look ahead to future projects. To start this year off, I will be focussing on completing my BEF force with all of the Support lists.

Beginning with List 1

Yesterday I was able to complete the Medic & Leader with Thompson

The Medic I believe is from Warlord Games. The Leader with Thompson is from 1st Corps. Both are metal sculpts.

I've been looking at options for the next items on the list & found some on Thingeverse that I can 3d print. Although scratchbuilding is also an option. Guess you will need to stay tuned to see...

  1. Don’t recall how medics work in CoC but this pair look like they’ll fit in with the rest of your Tommies just fine!

    1. Thanks Dai, just took a look. Medical Orderly's have the ability to remove a wound from a leader. Rules for them are in the core book.

  2. Well done getting back on track with your BEF units, but I was intrigued by some of the support units needed. Is the drinks cabinet going to be made in 1:1 scale for personal use?

    1. Thanks Joe, did a fair bit of drinking during my Infanteer years in the 80's, but not so much now. Not to say that if my shelves of miniatures were to come crashing down & all get busted.... THAT would need some kind of intervention & the drinks cabinet would be a start

  3. If it's the drinks cabinet, I ended up doing some surgery on mine due to the height. http://aleadodyssey.blogspot.com/2020/10/fancy-snifter-coc-drinks-anyone.html

    1. Thanks! I checked out your post, nice model, & great that someone went & built one for CoC, even if its not a required piece. I am looking through my Terrain Crate pieces to see what I have within them to use.

  4. Happy New Year Terry.
Lovely paint job on not just these but also your BEF platoon in one of your earlier posts.
Not seen any 1st Corps in the flesh but they seem to be a good match with Warlord, which is handy to know as I am also starting to do 1940 CoC.
Likewise, need to sort out a drinks cabinet for the game.

    1. Thanks Pat, great to hear your going to spend some focus on 1940 CoC. That is our groups favorite period & many of us have focussed on that. Not sure if you've delved into the 3d printing side of things, but Doug posted above of a piece that was created. As to First Corps, they have some other interesting BEF / Home Front stuff I've done a recent order for. They do fit will with the Warlord Games!
